Answers to frequently asked questions.

When crafting an ecommerce enabled website there's a lot more work involved. Each product page has to be unique; with individual photos, descriptions, and additional information. More times than not, those products need to be broken into categories, and require separate pages to showcase products by category. These types of websites also need to be synced to payment gateways, merchant accounts, email subscription lists and more. Because of all these things, and others not listed, it take more time and effort to build an amazing website than for an organization that doesn't sell products or services directly from their website.

Single page websites are great if your immediate goal is to establish a legitimate presence online. Customers trust businesses that have a website more than those that do not. We recommend single page websites as a starting point for organizations that want a website, but don't want to spend a lot of money to get one. Single page sites can have navigation menus just like multi-page sites. The menu just navigates the user to different sections of the same page. So if you don't have a tremendous amount of information to share, we can still make your site appear larger than it is while still being highly sophisticated.

If your business has lots of information to share on various topics or services, we recommend multi-page websites. For example, if you want to have a large about us section where you tell the story of founding your business, that would be it's own page. If you wanted to advertise several services, and provide details about each one in depth, those would all be separate pages. Basically, the more information you wish to share, and the more specific that information to a single topic, the more we recommend that content be displayed on it's own page.

Many worry that using a theme means that their website won't be customized. The themes we use are merely frameworks that make building your custom website easier. We generally recommend using X Theme Pro by Themeco, as it has the greatest ability for customization. Your website will not look like anyone elses, as we do not use "cookie-cutter" themes or layouts. Everything we make is entirely custom.

Depending upon your needs, we can recommend either a basic, or advanced ecommerce enabled website. If you want people to be able to order your services directly online and pay in advance of those services, then you will need an ecommerce enabled website. For those types of projects, we count individual services offered as products. Most service businesses won't need to go above our Advanced Silver website option. And depending upon the complexity, we may be able to offer discounts if your needs are fairly simple.

Depending upon how your website was made, we may be able to work within it's existing framework to make improvements. More times than not, we recommend a full rebuild using the most common themes, frameworks, and extensions so that your new and improved website can be updated more easily and affordably than the version that came before it. A full rebuild doesn't mean that your prior work goes entirely to waste. We can still reuse images, logos, and written content from your old site should you wish to preserve portions of what was previously built.

Yes, we most certainly do. We cannot promise multiple businesses with the same product or service in the same city that they can all rank number at the top of Google's local search results. Because of that, we can not, and will not, accept close competitors within a 10 mile radius of one another if your business is local, and not within 250 miles if your business is regional. A good example is if you own an Italian restaurant in Wake Forest. Once we transact with you to build your website, we will be unable to accept any business from any other Italian restaurants within 10 miles of your location. It's the best way we know of to make sure our clients businesses succeed. It would be unethical to pit our clients against one another while we reap the rewards.

Costs for hosting are not managed by us at Growth Game Plan. We will set-up whatever accounts you need on whatever credit account you specify. GoDaddy generally charges around $12 a year for domains, WPEngine charges $35 a month for advanced hosting and security, Custom Emails run $6 per email per month, and website theme licenses are a one-time fee of $79. All together, there's a one-time set-up cost of ~$150, and a recurring cost of $41 per month. For more details, please contact us.
